CATHOLIC HUMAN SERVICES

The Diocesan Annual Appeal enables us “to do” our best in service to those living in poverty or those on the margins of society.
Through your generosity, we can keep our soup kitchens, free health clinics and shelters open. Each day, thousands of meals are served at St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen in Scranton, St. Anthony’s Kitchen in Williamsport and St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen in Wilkes-Barre. St. Anthony’s Haven in Scranton provides a temporary refuge for those who have no place to call home.
Contributions to the Annual Appeal help us continue to operate safe havens such as Nativity Place, where families are provided with temporary emergency housing, and Project Hope, which gives children of low-income familie s the opportunity to experience a traditional summer camp in a Catholic atmosphere.
With your assistance, Catholic Social Services is able to provide the kinds of programs that help ensure the most vulnerable in our midst are cared for and protected. Through your loving kindness, we have also expanded our funding for Hispanic Ministries.
